When You Watch Movies Online, Be Wary of Misdirection

27 January, 2012 | | No Comment

When people watch movies online for the first time, they aren’t usually familiar with the tricks that some people employ to mislead people like them. A good example of this is the pranking technique known as “Rick Roll” where people who are searching for a particular movie will end up opening a video of Rick Astley’s 80′s classic “Never Gonna Give You Up.

This kind of misdirection was typically employed on Youtube, where people who searched for certain movies or TV shows ended up with that video instead. However, not all pranks with regards to online movies are as harmless. In some cases, you could end up with an infected PC or redirected to a website that is not even directly related to movies.

So if you want to watch movies online, it pays to exercise a little caution once in awhile. Although most pranks are simple, and many of them don’t happen all the time, it’s important to know that they’re out there, and a fact of life for people who want to watch movies on the internet.

When talking about Chinese Martial arts Kung Fu, only two names come to our mind by default – Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. Bruce Lee was the one who first who created the impact of Kung Fu in the whole world. He was born in San Francisco, United States. It is said that Bruce Lee was born as a very weak child and hence after he was seven years old, his father had to send him to learn Tai Chi in China.

From there, he learnt all the hidden tricks and arts in Kung Fu. After some time, Bruce Lee made his own style of fighting. Once he saved a Chinese girl empty handed from four armed persons and this news made him popular in the whole United States overnight.

After then, Bruce Lee became the Kung Fu master of many famous celebs. Later, in the initial 1970s, the craze of Kung Fu movies grew more and more and Bruce Lee became known worldwide. 3D Animation Company Workspace: Clearing the Clutter

10 September, 2011 | | No Comment

Here at the office of our 3d animation company, we are always looking for ways that we can make our workspace more productive and our software the most up to date. We will discuss optimal computing next time, but in this instance, we will be touching on actual physical workspace. We find that when we are creating quality virtual environments for others, it can be helpful to first have quality actual working environments for ourselves. This is especially important in our urban environment, as compact office spaces lead to the necessity for efficient use of space.

Here at our company, we make an effort to be free of clutter, believing that an uncluttered space can be reflected in a clear message and visuals when it comes to creating animations for our clients.

How about you? If you work for a 3d animation company, what does your workspace look like? We’re interested in learning about strategies that others might use to optimize their space. If you like, you can even send along a 3d rendering!

Did the Rango Movie Hit It Big?

28 June, 2011 | | No Comment

According to many, Pixar does it again with the rango movie. I have read many biased reviews on the net from the young to the old. Many say its not so much for kids and more like an adult animated movie where others completely disagree and their children loved it. Myself, I have yet to see an animated movie top the late great “Toy Story” which my children had me bring them to 3 times. But who can resist any movie that the great Johnny Depp partakes in, whether he is actually in the movie himself or just a voice behind a silly character such as this funny little chameleon known as Rango. I have been a Johnny Depp fan for years and after the hit series “Dead Wood”, I have also grown to enjoy the works of Timothy Olyphant, so really this was a no brainer for me to go check out.

In the end, I enjoyed it, my wife enjoyed it and my ten year old loved it. It is a definite must see if you enjoy these type of animated films but I have to be honest, Toy Story still has my stronger vote for one of the top Pixar animated films.

Checking out the Corporate Entertainment in Scotland

10 February, 2011 | | No Comment

I have to visit Edinburgh next week, because I’m looking into corporate entertainment in Scotland, and I have to do some research on the subject. I’m hoping to pay a visit to a number of locations while I’m there, in order to enable me to compare notes about all of them. I have been designated the entertainments organiser in my company, basically because I wasn’t quick enough to say I didn’t want to do it when my boss was looking for volunteers.

Having got my head round the idea now, I’m actually looking forward to making the trip to Edinburgh. I will be there for a whole week, and am planning to stay at a top hotel in the city centre. I have never been there before, but I have heard it’s a really nice place. My younger brother went there recently and he thought it was the nicest place he has ever been to.

Best Educational Activities for Kids During School Break

29 October, 2010 | | No Comment

A lot of parents don’t know how important educational activities for kids are during school break in order to reinforce what they have learned in the previous semester or school year. Of course, we want them to enjoy their vacation but to make sure that they will still remember what they have learned it is also important to reinforce the learning they have taken. We can do this without compromising their fun and spoiling their break time. Buy toys that are related to learning. There are toys that are mathematically designed like blocks, which would help them retain the basic math functions like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. There are also toys that will stimulate their critical thinking like puzzles. A single trip to the zoo can reinforce their science capabilities and allow them to experiment with nature without spoiling their fun. You can do this without spending too much for their learning and vacation at the same time.
